Course Outline:     This course introduces the following computer programming concepts using Turing:
Types, Keywords, Constants, and Variables
I/O (Input/Output)
Commenting, Testing, Tracing, and Debugging Code
Arithmetic Expressions and Function Calls
Boolean Expressions and Conditional Statements
Loops
Single and Multi-Dimensional Arrays
String Operations
Procedures, Parameters, and Arguments
Program Scope and Identifiers
Functions and Results

Students will also have the opportunity to research a topic of importance to Information Science and present their report in HTML.

Tests and Assignments:     - make sure you read the school policy in your student planner
- students must inform the teacher at least two days in advance if they have reason for renegotiating the date of an assignment or test
- a makeup test is allowed (1 per term except for extended illness) upon presentation of a note signed by the office for absences due to illness
- a missed assignment or test for any other reason will result in a mark of 0
