Michael Ferguson, Vice-Principal

After graduating from Richview Collegiate in the legacy Etobicoke Board of Education, Mr. Ferguson attended the University of Toronto where he earned Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education degrees.
Mr. Ferguson began his teaching career at Oakwood Collegiate and after taking time to do graduate work at the University of Western Ontario, returned to teaching at Bloor C.I. After spending one year as the vocal music teacher at North Toronto in 1986-87, Mr. Ferguson was appointed Head of Music at Banting Memorial H.S. in Alliston, Ontario. After nine years in Simcoe County, Mr. Ferguson returned to North Toronto C.I. as the string teacher and orchestra conductor. In 1999 Mr. Ferguson was appointed Assistant Head of Music and the following year Head of Music at North Toronto.

After a twenty-five year teaching career, in which Mr. Ferguson taught band, string and vocal music, history, english, library, math and phys.ed., he was appointed Vice-Principal of North Toronto C.I. in January of 2003.
